Shades of Grey is a Sunshine Coast Rock Band that is the combination of two long term associations.
Mike & Eddy started playing together in 1965 in Sydney. As part of The Spys & The Feat they played at all of the main venues in Sydney such as Suzie Wongs, Surf City, the Old Sydney Stadium, the Bowl, Beach House, Channel 9 & legendary Trocadero.
They were runners up in 1967 as part of the Hoadley's national battle of the sounds.
After avoiding each other for almost 20 years, a chance meeting at Circular Quay and too many bottles of red they started playing together again.
After playing together for a couple of years Eddy moved to Noosa and Mike soon followed after visiting and it all started again, playing as 'dem guys', appearing at the Gympie Muster and becoming regulars at the Imperial Hotel Eumundi.
Simon & Craig have played together on a regular basis over the past 20 years.
Simon has performed with many local Sunshine Coast Bands including, Exile, the Urban Hombres & is still currently playing with The Remedy.
Craig played as part of Coast Duo, Sauce who regularly appeared at: the Mooloolaba Surf Club, Hyatt Coolum, Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club and played 100s of weddings & Corporate Events at venues such as, Shereton Noosa, Ricky's on the River, Caloundra Powerboat Club, Hyatt Coolum, the Boathouse to name a few.
